Hi, I'm Nathan!
By day I run many private repositories for our awesome cloud-based fire detection products. I've been working on this solution since its inception back in 2021, and to date we have stopped several fires in our clients' facilities. We are currently focused on new computer vision algorithms for more accurate fire detection and false alarm suppression.
I'm also a second year MSCS student at USC. My current course load focuses on applications for autonomous vehicles from two perspectives: cyber-physical control and deep learning perception.
On the side, I'm really passionate about using agents and LLMs to foster creative work. I have a lot of thoughts about how AI coding has disrupted focus, control, and passion in software projects, and I'm on a mission to make software engineering fun. My projects almagest and duet bring agents to life in Obsidian so you can take notes without breaking focus and grow your own personal wiki.
